STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Leviticus 11:3 NASB
Whatever divides a hoof, thus making split hoofs, and chews the cud, among the animals, that you may eat.
Acts 17:11 NASB
Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.
The purpose of this devotional is to give rise to our deepest need to seek the leading and anointing of His Spirit. Not only in the daily circumstances of our everyday life but even more so in the enlightening of our hearts through His Word. These devotions are meant to spur us on to seek more comprehensively His wisdom and direction. To bring to light some basic truths that have possibly become, through the years, more dogma and rote than the living truth that gives spiritual vitality and life to both ourselves and those around us. It is His Word in tandem with the Spirit that inhabits our Spirit that teaches us discernment and the ability to rightly divide and judge between the holy and profane and the Spirit and the flesh. The Bereans were defined as those who diligently sought out His ways through the Scriptures daily to affirm the truths brought forth even from the most reliable source of their day. May the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching so that in whatever you do in word or deed, it will all be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. (Col. 3:16-17)
